Jason Willis Krell

Jason was born April 21, 1994. He grew up in Plano, Tx. with his older sister, Wendy. As a child growing up, he showed a love of nature and animals. In school, History and English weren’t his favorites, but he excelled at Chemistry, Math and anything science related.

After graduation from High School, Jason left home to attend college at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He graduated from Texas Tech in December 2018 with a major in Geophysics and a minor in Mathematics. In April 2019, Jason was hired by Fugro, where he surveyed the ocean floor on various vessels for two years. His assignments were primarily in the Gulf of Mexico, but had the opportunity to work in the NE for several weeks. He was looking forward to traveling to other countries. Jason enjoyed his position and loved being on the water. He has always loved the beach and the ocean so It was no surprise he chose a career which took him out to the depths. He is the perfect example of working hard for what you want in life.

Jason has always enjoyed hiking, camping, boating and beach trips, which created some beautiful memories. As an adult he grew to enjoy craft beer and seemed to be quite the connoisseur. His sense of humor was hilarious, which you wouldn’t know unless you knew him because he tended to be a quiet and reserved type of person. His love of nature and science continued. He loved dogs, even helping his mom foster and rescue a few. One of his most favorite things to do was build a bonfire and poke at it for hours. Some of our best times were spent around Jason’s bonfires. Jason grew into a confident and successful young man with a bright future, but gone too soon.
